David Jack, CEO | Principal Advisor
David brings more than 20 years of C-level executive experience to his current role as CEO of Social Impact Institute.
He has served as Chief Executive Officer at Cystic Fibrosis Australia and the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation, where he led both organisations through periods of significant growth and change. Prior to that he was Chief Executive Officer at ADRA, a faith-based international development agency.
As Principal Advisor, David works directly with executives and management teams to listen and apply evidence-based methodologies to enhance clarity, sustainability and impact. He is passionate about helping social sector leaders extend their thinking, then partnering them with our network of specialist social sector advisors to achieve their goals.
David was appointed a member, for two terms (2013-2018) of the Consumer and Community Advisory Committee to the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), is a member of the Fundraising Institute Australia (FIA) and the Australian Institute for Company Directors (AICD). He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Sector Management, and a Bachelor of Arts.
Royden Howie, Founder | Principal Advisor
After serving as an executive Director of an international humanitarian organisation in Papua New Guinea and in leadership roles in Cambodia and Thailand, Royden founded Social Impact Institute (then 4community) in 2008 with a vision to use his own C-level experience and passion for social justice to help as many leaders as possible achieve their social impact dreams. Today, Social Impact Institute is one of Australia's leading advisory services and event organisers dedicated to the social sector.
Royden maintains an active role championing the vision of the organisation and serves on its board. He is also a director for KinCare, National College Australia, Private Care and hope2day.
He holds a Masters in Public Health from the University of Western Australia.
Debbie Eisenhauer-Rodney, General Manager
Commencing her career as a Chartered Accountant, Debbie has had a strong commercial career with experience at CFO level in both commercial and NFP organisations. In addition, Debbie has been the driver of organizational change with two large disability service providers, supporting them to thrive in the NDIS environment. This is coupled with an ability to think strategically and to innovate, ensuring proposed organisational initiatives are backed up by sound commercial modelling and risk analysis.
Debbie has expertise in service design workshop facilitation and process mapping, supporting finance functions to improve transactional processing, has been involved in numerous grant and tender submissions, and is able to support teams to innovate to solve service sustainability issues.
Kathryn Carey, Senior Advisor
Kathryn supports our clients with strategy and organisation across a number of disciplines in order to increase their impact. She has over 10 years of marketing and management experience in the life science and technology, medical research, charity and government sectors. She has led teams in marketing, research, product management, projects, operations and facilities, overseeing business integration, business process optimisation, systems implementation, and change management. Kathryn holds a Masters in Business Administration in Management, a Master of Science in Medical Research, and a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences.
Natalie Moses, Senior Advisor
Natalie has almost 25 years' fundraising, marketing communications and program experience in the not for profit sector, including 14 years in senior executive roles. Specialising in fundraising, marketing, communications, CRM development, data intelligence and organisational development, she brings a high level of expertise gained from working in high profile charities with large international alliance networks. A member of the Fundraising Institute of Australia, Natalie is passionate about mentoring the next generation of fundraising executives and optimising every area of fundraising performance.
Andrew Fergusson, Senior Advisor
Andrew has a passion for helping organisations deliver significant social impact as well as generate an economic return for the community.
With nearly 20 years’ experience in the Social Services Sector he has held senior roles in a range of disciplines including employment services, disability services and social enterprise. Andrew has also consulted extensively throughout Australia and Singapore on inclusive design for people with a disability.
He has previously led projects in design and development of specialist IT applications; start up or scale up of social enterprise initiatives; large scale information system design, integration and rollout; design and development of NDIS planning and service delivery resources, research and economic modelling; and, social impact measurement frameworks within disability, mental health and housing organisations.
In his role with the Social Impact Institute, Andrew works alongside Senior Leaders to identify future opportunities, develop their strategy and systems, then execute initiatives that align with their purpose and increase their social impact.
Suzy Sotirias, Marketing & Communications Manager
Suzy has held senior marketing roles for social purpose organisations including Médecins Sans Frontières, UNICEF Australia, Warakirri College, Relationships Australia, and Children's Medical Research Institute. She has helped these organisations achieve their missions through smarter brand and marketing management and communications which increase audience reach, raise brand awareness, and enable sustainable revenue growth.
Suzy's ability to achieve results in non-profit environments where previous marketing efforts have delivered little market impact, or where the value of marketing as a strategic growth lever is unknown or in question, is a key strength.
Suzy holds a Bachelor of Commerce in marketing from UNSW, and a Master in Peace & Conflict Studies from the University of Sydney.
